Geocache Description:

The cache is located off a path in Spankers Hill Wood near Penn Ponds in Richmond Park, South West London.

Richmond Park is the largest park in the London area. It is a 2,500 acre parkland created in 1637 by Charles I. Here, deer wander freely in open parkland, ducks, geese and swans abound at Penn Ponds and various horticultural delights are to be found in more formal gardens, such as azaleas and rhododendrons in the nearby Isabella Plantation.

The cache is hidden within site of White Lodge which is at the centre of the park. Built in 1729 for George II, this Palladian building is now home to the Royal Ballet School.
