Sosa Canyon Traditional Cache

This is a regular geocache in Sosa Canyon off Redington Road east of Tucson.
Our regular cachemobile (a Toyota Matrix) is at the dealership because the cam shaft, crank shaft and computer aren't "talking" together correctly. Dealership is having so much trouble fixing it that someone from Toyota is coming in to see it. In the meantime they gave us a rental...a truck. With high clearance! Gee! What can we do with a truck for a few days? Does Trusty Companion need any furniture hauled up to his new apartment? No. Trusty Companion suggested that we take the truck out and see how dirty we could get it. So after some discussion and map checking we headed out Redington.
So we drove up Redington Road and turned down a road after milepost 19. The road is at N32 21.317 W110 31.109. Follow signs to Bar LY Ranch. The ranch is down in the bottom of Sosa Canyon. We drove all the way to the bottom and then tried to climb out the other side. The road was good and we were willing but the truck wasn't. So we'll have to come back when we have our regular cachemobile back. The roads in the bottom of the canyon are fairly sandy and loose, often in the creek or wash bottoms. Not all of the canyon is public land so we didn't want to leave a cache in the actual canyon. We climbed back up out of the canyon and left the cache were the views are gorgeous, the wildflowers were plentiful and there was also safe parking.
We parked near a cattle guard that had like white fence siding at the guard. Then we walked a few hundred feet to place the cache.
