Have you ever noticed an unfamiliar city while looking at a topo
map or an old historic map? Well, I found the city of Farr on an
aerial map and wanted to memoralize the ancient town by placing a
cache at the location of the forgotten town. Notice this is also
shown on the Mapquest, Topozone and Yahoo maps attached with this
cache.
This cache is a 35MM film container in a fence post near the old
site of the train stop for Farr, CA. The cache location is only
about 400 feet east of the spot shown for the city location. From
my understanding, it was just a farming stop on the train route. It
is just a few feet from a parking spot (don't even think of
stopping on the freeway) and there is no need to walk thru bushes
or even get near the train tracks to find this cache. Please be
mindful of the plants and bushes nearby.
