There are fantastic views of the ocean and east end of the island.
There are old WW II bunkers to explore and if you come between
November and April, be sure to keep an eye out for whales. There
are also a couple of other caches and several benchmarks in the
area so come and make a day of it.
The walk to the cache is mostly on an old paved road which is
steep in some locations but is a fairly easy hike of about 2.5
miles round trip. It is usually hot so bring plenty of water, a hat
and sunscreen.
The direct route from the road to the cache is not the best
approach. Doing so will lead you through leg tearing thickets of
brush. There are easier, but slightly longer, ways to get
there.
