Tall Sagebrush

Tall Sagebrush has a broad ecological tolerance. It grows in the dry desert areas, but thrives best in deep relatively moist soil. The size of the bush tells one a great deal about the soil and moisture condition of the location where it is growing. It can grow up to eight feet tall!

The best identifying feature of tall sage is its grayish leaves with three lobs on the tips. Its scientific name is Artemisia Tridentata. Tridentata refers to the three-lobed leaf tips.

Read on the nearby monument about Marie Dorion, a brave, and noble pioneer women who for a time lived in Walla Walla.

The cache container is a painted (camouflage) plastic Tupperware with the log book and kids toys. Make sure the cache is hidden as well as possible - at least as well as it was when you found it.
