Travel Bug Portal Event Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

TAT: It's time to archive this one! It was a lot of fun to host and I think everyone had a good time, even if it was cold, wet and windy.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make this a great event.

Geocache Description:

Come exchange Travel Bugs from Europe and grill your favorite vittles! The event will be from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.

Notice: BAD NEWS: It may RAIN :(
GOOD NEWS: There is a covered pavilion, so it cannot be rained out!!! :) :) :) :)

Don't let the weather spoil your good time!!!!

A German cacher, TravelingViking, will be in the area on a business trip. He has asked us to help him exchange travel bugs from Europe that want to visit the US with bugs that want to visit Europe. I am going to be returning from Germany, also on a business trip. And, hopefully I'll also be bringing back more bugs!

Let's meet at the Harold Parker State Forest picnic area. You are welcome to come even if you do not have a gpsr, and there will be plenty of people there to help explain what Geocaching is all about. The pavilion is located next to Berry Pond, north west of the park headquarters.

If you are coming, please post a note here.

Feel free to bring TBs that don't want to go to Europe and swap them with other cachers from the area. There will be a sign-in, sign-out sheet for all TBs so that we can help those not familiar with logging TBs.
