Geocache Description:

Long ago when textile production ruled in this area, this river and the structures built around it were activly playing a role in rhode islands and the countries economy. now long forgotton, they are but shells of what they once were. crumbling factories, rusted pipes, and overgrown pump houses, they are the Ghosts of Industry.

This is a cool area that is probably often overlooked. take a while to check out the area. Park at N 41 41.727, W 071 32.475 There are books about this area with pictures of what it looked like in the late 1800's. If you would like some interesting history or maybe some pictures, just send me an e-mail and I will scan them to you. This is a small cache so be selective with your trade offerings. Remember, leave the pencil sharpener. Thanx.
