My daughter Abbie and her class went on a field trip to the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Foundation in Durham last year. It's a great place, the kids loved it. Founder, Barry R. Kirshner died tragically in an auto accident in Feb. of 1995. Barry's mom Roberta, today continues his dreams of educating the public about protecting our precious wild life and their habitats, while providing a safe haven for the residents of the Foundation. They are opened 7 days a week by appointment only call 530-345-1700. Their is a donation required to enter the foundation.
