John Boyd Thatcher State Park is a favorite place for many of us to cache, so this year we'd like to do a second CITO event and help clean-up the roadside at Thatcher.
Come spend a day with fellow cachers and friends and help clean-up a park which has been so
welcoming to the geocaching community!!! This CITO won't be quite as intensive as the Schodack event was ....we won't be pulling 50+ tires out of the River :).
Everyone will meet at 9AM at the Nature Center. Please wear long pants, long
sleeve shirts, work gloves, boots and bring some water.
After the clean-up (around Noontime) refreshments will be provided back at the Nature
Center.
check out our local forum for any additional information www.geocachingny.net ...and of course don't
forget all of the caches in the park!!! Click on the map thumbnail for a larger version (

This should be a great day! Hope to see lots of people there!
The nature center is outside the Park. If you are coming into Thacher Park from Albany, you
will pass the park office on the right, leave the park, and take your first right turn onto
Ketcham Rd. Take Ketcham Rd for 1 mile and turn left onto Nature Center Way (you will see
signs for the Nature Center) As you go down Nature Center Way, you will see the building on
your left; parking is up on the right side.
