This cache is hidden in a Baltimore County park commemorating the life and accomplishments of America's first African American man of mathematics and science. The listed coordinates are not those of the cache. You’ll have to use some brain power to find them. This is a regular ammo box size cache.
The legacy of Benjamin Banneker lives on at Banneker Park, site of his homestead and farm. The park includes a museum facility, which offers several gallery spaces, including exhibitions on the life and times of Benjamin Banneker, and a Community Gallery with changing exhibits from the greater community. The 142-acre park features a variety of trails, including a historical trail around the museum, an archaeological site, a nature trail, and a historic trolley line trail. The park is a natural stream valley woodland dedicated to the preservation of wildlife habitat and endangered native species. Banneker's interest in the outdoors included astronomy, agriculture, plants, animals, and weather.
In honor of the man of mathematics, a little puzzle must be solved to find the coordinates of the cache. Below are two puzzles, each consisting of three groups of three numbers. For each puzzle, your job is to combine the three numbers in each group in such a way that you get the same result in each of the three groups. You can use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The answers must be whole numbers, no fractions (or decimals). Here is an example of a solved puzzle:
