I Ishult skipades rättvisa i 205 år. Det första
tinget hölls 1730 och sista gången domare och nämnd
samlades var 1935. Numera är tingshuset och arresten ett
sevärt byggnadsminne och museum som vittnar om livsvillkoren
förr. Galgbacken fanns vid Furulid och en minnessten intill
den mycket gamla Strandavägen utvisar platsen.
Gömman är en liten plastburk som innehåller
loggbok, penna och några små bytesvaror.
In Ishult justice was done for 205 years. The first session was
held in 1730 and the last time judge and jury were gathered was in
1935. Nowadays the Court House and prison are two notable historic
buildings and museums. The gallows hill was situated at Furulid and
a monument to commemorate it is next to the very old
Strandavägen.
The cache is a small plastic box containing logbook, pencil and
some small trading items.
