INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST #174

”Heavy Artillery"

Welcome to the Danville South Cemetery, Center Township, Hendricks County, in beautiful downtown Danville.  This is an active and very large cemetery established in 1850. I have taken you to the oldest section of the cemetery. The above image is of the Hadley family graves.

The above marker is that of C W Hadley. The monument contains many military decorations. C W died in 1862. I must assume, given he was only 19 years old that he was a loss of the Civil War. SixDogTeam was able to obtain some additional information. "Pvt. George W. Hadley, Co. E, 1st Indiana Heavy Artillery Regiment. Regiment was mustered into service at Indianapolis on July 24, 1861 and saw service in Baltimore and New Orleans."

The cache container is is a 35mm cannister. Please leave it at least as well concealed, if not better, than you found it. If you find fallen or worn US flags at the graves of veterans, please take a moment to upright or replace them. Dispose of worn US flags in a respectable manner.    If you find the coordinates to be a little off, do not hesitate to post a waypoint with your log.  As always, be respectful, and cache in, trash out. God Bless our troops in harm's way.

WARNING:  FIND LOGS ON THIS CACHE THAT INDICATE NIGHT CACHING WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTICE!

"Indiana Spirit Quest" is brought to you by The SixDogTeam, Kodiak Kid, THE SHADOW, Team Shydog and Rupert2.
