Geocache Description:


Welcome to Greenfield Lake, one of the oldest parks in the city of Wilmington. Here you will find a wonderful array of trails, bridges, and shady resting spots. The 158-acre park boasts a large playground, tennis courts, picnic areas, a skate park, and a dock where canoes and paddleboats are available for rent. The lake itself is home to alligators, turtles, and a variety of birds, and is surrounded by azaleas, magnolias, longleaf pines, and live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. You will also see a large number of bald cypress trees in and around the lake, which gives the area a slightly prehistoric appearance. In short, this is a truly unique place in the midst of a bustling town…bring the kids and dogs for a fun afternoon!

We thought that it would be neat to place a cache with the theme of “Good Luck” in such a beautiful spot. The cache is a smallish cammo'd container filled with lots of goodies, any of which will bring the happy finder some extra luck. If at all possible please try to keep to the theme when trading, or you may be cursed with a three weeks’ worth of DNFs! Just kidding.

Already, your luck is changing for the better…we are providing a little clue in verse, and you don’t even have to decrypt it:

We experienced a bit of coordinate bounce when placing the cache; the coordinates listed above are accurate with a 20-foot degree of error. So don’t feel ashamed to decrypt the clue!
