Park at the side of Highway 6 at about N45 12.114 W O81 34 428 at the sign for Cedar Grove Cottage Rentals and take the trail heading NE as far as the fallen tree.
Go to the left of the tree and you'll see what appears to be the foundation of a ruined stone cottage.
Look closer! It's not!
Walk along the "walls" and you'll discover the first of a series of sinkholes or potholes along what might be an old river bed. Please, all you geocaching geologists, put me right on this.
Your GPS may not work too well in the bush and brittle cedar branches may attempt to spear you so take care.
We have never seen rattle snakes around here but that doesn't mean there aren't any so keep your eyes open. It seemed to us that the cavities in these rocks needed occupants so we hid a cacheful of rubber snakes along with a couple of other goodies for snake haters!
