This 2-stage multi-cache is located in the Ausable State Forest behind the Jerome Township Hall on West River Rd. in Sanford.
There used to be some beautiful woods out here. Unfortunately the loggers hav had their way. Lots of stumps and broken branches. Still a great place to run your dog. But keep an eye out. I heard coyotes and saw sign on the trail.
The coordinates given are for the first stage of the cache. At this location, you will find a hidey-hole containing a small gray plastic container. In the container are the coordinates to stage 2, your final destination. At that location, you will find Cache & Carry, a clear plastic container (originally was a plastic Folger's coffee "can," but the racoons found it too easy to open). Original contents included:
Log book and pencil
Sea shell necklace
A ball for your dog.
A reindeer Christmas ornament.
A GLSAR K9 Unit patch (a real collector's item).
A plastic pacifier.
A small wooden top.
A 1995 Final 4 pin.
A mosquito rock (in case you forgot to bring your own mosquitoes)
