Camped Out Traditional Cache

This cache is located at the West Two Rivers Reservoir Recreation Area, in Mountain Iron, MN. This is a public park that is owned and operated by the City of Mt. Iron. Contributing developers are the IRRRB and US Steel.
This park is well maintained and has everything to offer including a great campground (electric sites too), fishing pier, boat launch, swimming beach, pavilion/picnic area, baseball field, playground, basketball hoop and more. Locals say that the fishing in this water is grand!
There are a couple of different routes to the cache location. Best starting point is the lakeside trail [N47°28.761° W092°39.805° ]. Trail is maintained and in good condition - nice easy walk along the shoreline. When I placed this cache, the campground gate was closed until later this Spring (2006 official park season is from MN Fishing Opener - Labor Day). If the gate is open, perhaps you can shorten the jaunt to the cache location. That said, access to cache is year round via the lakeside trail. Trail, of course, will be not be plowed in the Winter.
Cache is an ammo box that contains items related to camping and overall kid fun! Enjoy!
