I.H.S. # 1 - 97 & Pine Traditional Cache
Logscaler and Red: This one is going to go away, seems as the bums caused enough problems camping and crapping here that the State road department has went through this area and CLEANED out the brush, limbs and old fence post, in the process they destroyed the hiding spot as well as the cache container. We cleaned things up, what was ours anyway, and will put this one to rest.

Island Hopping Series caches.
There are a lot of these spaces around and I was thinking they needed to be put to use. Therefore, I have started this series. As your motoring along the highways and byways, you will see a lot of these open spaces with nothing going on. Well, I hope to change that. But first, I must warn that in this series, be very careful of how you get onto and off of the islands. After all, you don’t want to get shipwrecked in your dingy do you?
There are a few places to park to get this one, some close, some far. Some in the main shipping lanes and some off the main channel you travel often. This trasure chest might best be found very early, mid day or later after the other ships have set anchor for the night.
Your looking for a painted plastic shoebox with the normal items inside. Reception could be kinda obscured but seeing as there where very few hiding spots, I did something a little different this time. Watch for flotsam and jetsam as you near the treasure chest location and you should pick out the hiding spot. Kinda like a needle in a haystack item.
