Hill End is a small historic village located in the heart of central-west NSW. Making it's claim to fame through an 19th century gold rush, Hill End is now an important historic site and a major tourist attraction.
Hill End is a great little spot for everyone, a must see, full of history and a chance to do some fossicking and check out the surrounding areas. There is a lovely camping area in town, central to everything, where you can enjoy some wonderful walks around streets that were once bustling with activity and noise.
Drawn by that elusive gold nugget, we knew that a cache was a must do and we were the ones to do it. This is where ‘The Nugget’ was born. You can park near the cache or you can take the ‘Bald Hill Mine Walk’ although not the shortest route it offers an interesting walk through history.
Cache contains, log book, The ‘IT’ Keychain TB, memo holders, whistle, sinkers, shaker lids and of course some nuggets.
