Geocache Description:

A group of cedars that are nuzzled up to a large dead tree on the banks of Lovers Creek cradles the cache.

Enter the trail at N44 21.374 W79 39.070. There is plenty of parking at the nearby grocery store. Please note that there is no need to cross the busy street as the paved trail goes under the road beside the creek. The paved trail ends and the footpath may be wet after a rain. There is no need to traverse very muddy areas. Just go past the cache a short distance and you can access the creek and the cache without being up to your ankles in mud.

Lovers Creek meanders through an environmentally-protected parkland, where towering pines and maples provide a breathtaking backdrop in all four seasons. Maybe you will be as lucky as Swifteroo and have a close encounter with deer.

"The Central Ontario Geocachers Series has been placed by a group of geocachers to further promote geocaching in our area. These caches will take you to places that we know and love as residents of the area and we hope that you will enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed placing them! Our area is one of the most beautiful locations in Ontario being bordered by the Oak Ridges Moraine to the South, and Cottage Country to the North containing Highlands, Lowlands, vast forested areas, lakes, rivers, and wetlands."

Plan to archive this cache on Oct. 15/07
