Cache is placed just north of of the fine old Finnerud forest farm, very close to the ski track and blue-marked path
Skogen St., who placed this cache, said at the outset: "Finnerud is one of my favourite places in Nordmarka. About 3 - 4 kilometers from Sørkedalen, depending on which way one takes. There's several possibilities - a nice blue-marked trail, a red-marked skitrack or a dirtroad for bikers and hikers all leads to the farm.
Originally, this ancient farm was established by the finn Sakris, in the 17th century. A litte later, it was made a cottar's farm or perhaps a summer pasture under Blindern gård. In the end of the 19th century, Prof. Schjøtt took over the place. It stayed in his family until Oslo kommune (the municiplaity) inherited it in 1963.
Today, Finnerud is a café. Opening hours are from 11 o'clock on Saturdays, and from 10 o'clock on Sundays.
The cache used to be a medium size plastic box, packed in a green plastic bag. That was repla ced in May 2019 by a max-sized PET tube, modified in Mostly Moose style. It has the Mark of the Moose, donated by geocacher ninad as part of a gift to the owner.
