Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This Multi-Cache is located in an out-of-the-way corner of beautiful Woodland cemetery. Please be respectful of this quiet place.
The listed coordinates will take you to the grave of John Harrison, a local Delhi resident and a survivor of the Charge of the Light Brigade. By doing some easy math you will find a small Tupperware-type container suitable for small trades and travel bugs.
BONUS: The log book contains a web address that will take you to a web site and give you a history lesson about John Harrison’s experience in the Charge of the Light Brigade and about Tennyson’s poem. Going to the web site is not necessary to be able to log your find and please do not list the web address in your log.
When you find the Harrison marker do the following math:
Subtract 19 from John’s age. Add the result to the decimal portion of the listed north coordinate; the result is the new north coordinate for the cache container.
Now add 19 twice to John’s age. Add the result to the decimal portion of the listed west coordinate; the result is the new west coordinate of the cache container.
