Geocache Description:

This cache is located Gulf Wilderness Park on the edge of Lockport, NY. You can park near N43 11.007 W78 42.915, to access the park. The park is located on West Jackson Street. The parking area will fit 4-5 cars. There is a trail map at the park entrance that you can use to get your bearings.

To find cache, you’ll want to head toward Indian Falls. A good set of boots or water shoes are recommended, because you might get your feet wet:) The challenging part of this cache will not be the hike itself, but rather, finding a good way to cross the creek. While placing this cache, I was able to cross the creek without getting my feet wet; however, one should prepare for the worst, as some of the rocks and other crossing points can be slippery. Please note that the creek is no more than 1-2 feet deep at most points, so you won’t be wading across. You’ll be looking for a .50 Cal ammo box.

Take a few minutes to enjoy the wonderful waterfall. I recommend that you bring a light lunch and relax for a bit. Also, we CITO’d the heck out of this park while placing the cache, so if you see any trash down below, please help out. Be sure to check out the Gulf Wilderness Park cache, by Gary Dog; it’s on the other side of the park. Good luck finding the cache! We hope you enjoy it.
