This cache is located along the Trent and Mersey Canal, near the village of Aston-by-Stone in Staffordshire. It is an easy walk, but will take at least 20 minutes from the car.
This mathematician is better known by his nickname, which you will need to find out. He introduced to Europe and popularised the Hindu-Arabic number system (also called the decimal system). Leonardo contributed greatly to number theory, and during his life published many important texts including Liber Abaci.
Leonardo is probably best known for his work on a series of numbers found frequently in the natural world. These are the key to the puzzle.
