Geocache Description:

A multi-cache with choices

This cache is modeled after one of the first caches I ever attempted. It was before I had a GPSr (was caching with a friend), before I started keeping score, even before Mrs. mjb007 got interested, but I have always loved the style, and Little Bennett has enough open space to handle it.

It is a multi cache and it consists of reading a story at the coordinates above and then answering a series of questions at other caches. If you get the answer right you get to proceed directly to the next question, if you get it wrong you will have to find an additional cache which will give you the coordinates to the next question. At the end is a final cache with the log book and items to trade. So, if you pay attention and choose wisely, you will need to find a total of 6 caches, if not, as many as 10.

We were able to place all 10 caches covering about 2 miles, so that gives you an idea of the hike involved. You can stay on the trails for the majority of the way to each hide. The farthest cache is less than 250 feet from the trail. Most of the caches are covered in camo tape, of varying sizes, and hides, so look closely. We took multiple readings and averaged the results, so we think the coordinates are all good, but things will get tougher as the trees start coming in. The final cache is an ammo can.

Best parking is probably at N39° 15.958 by W077° 16.816 off of Clarksburg Road. You might be able to park a little closer, but I have seen that road closed, and there is a pull off, but no designated parking spaces. Parking here won’t add much to your hike. Boots are recommended, as much of the area is low land, and can be pretty wet.

The story is not geocaching related. It is about another subject very near and dear to our hearts. When you find the final cache in addition to the trade items, you will also find information on the subject of the story. Feel free to take one, and enjoy where it takes you.

FTF prize is a Golden dollar coin.

Congratulations to tossedsalad for the FTF (the first)!!!
