Here is a fun cache for the whole family atop Goats Peak. A nice look out tower is avilable for an extended view. Special caution must be used when approaching the cache after storms as the wet leaves and decline of the hill may be slippery. Cache is out of view from the lookout tower so If you are at the site, people on the tower cannot see you from above.
Here lies my first cache. Placed in a spot nearby to where one of my senior skip days was spent during high school. Thus giving the name of the cache "PLAYIN HOOKIE." There are several ways to access this cache from hiking trails and access roads. There is some minor bushwacking involved but overall should not be too hard to find. You will have to navigate your way to the cache and go through a tricky spot when your're within 100ft. TAKE YOUR TIME GOING DOWN THE HILL!!! There I said it, so DO NOT complain about the terrain in your log. That is unsportsmanlike conduct and I will delete your log and find. I kept this one simple, there is a log book and a disclaimer. i hate going to caches and finding them filled with junk, so please dont put your trash in my cache, leave something unique. If you take a TB, then LEAVE A TB! Same goes for coins and other trackable items. Take some time to sit atop the peak and enjoy the views, and dont forget about some other nearby caches, this park has several to visit. THis cache is a great one to visit for photo ops and during the fall season. Once at the cache please consider visiting the Chupacabra cache near by.
