The hiking trail has a sturdy bridge that crosses Rock Creek (it survived the hurricane flooding of 2005 and 2017*). The creek is mostly a moist low area except in times of heavy rains or high water. Along this drainage a series of truly handsome and gnarly live oaks. In one of them I stuck a cache.
The cache can be approached from the south, parking at the WST Trailhead 28°31.613 82°13.127, following the blazed trail with several hides along the way. Or you could park at the north trail head at 28°33.943 82°12.454 and walk south (shaded) about .9 miles.
*Forester John Arquette should be thanked for that, as he had the foresight to use trailor ties to strap it down, unlike the many footbridges elsewhere which were picked up and carried away by high water.
