This is the 1st placement in a series that will take you to parks located in the Lebanon County, PA area. The cache is located in Stoever's Dam Park and is a medium tupperware container. Park behind the nature barn @ 40.21.532 / 076.24.565 to start your quest. Look for the Lake trail sign to begin.
Welcome to Lebanon County Parks I - Stoever's Dam Lake Trail cache.
In the late 1700's, Stoever's Dam park was no more than several springs on the Martin Light farm. Then in 1821, John Stoever took possession of the property and in the same year the Union Canal Co. began constrution of a dam to provide a water supply for the canal. Several owners later the park came into the possession of Lebanon City in 1973. The Park is the largest city owned park in Lebanon,encompassing 153 acreas, it has a 23.5 acre lake and a 1.5 mile walking/jogging trail..you will be following.
The above coordinates take you to the site of the original Angel's of Light cache placed by CCCA/Geonina in Novemeber 2002. This is the start of your quest. You will be looking for a small plastic container - inside find the coordinates for site 2.
@ site 2 add the day of the month to 183 to get 'S' - 40.21.sss add the year to 2701 to get 'C' - 076.2c.ccc - on to site 3
@ site 3 add the project year to 2610 to get 'Y' - 40.21.543 / 076.2Y.YYY
The entire walk will be around 2 miles..hope you enjoyed Stover's Dam Park,Memorial Arboretum and Nature Area...I always have.
