Geocache Description:

This is a series of Microcaches hidden at historic sites on Lopez Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State.

These microcaches are hidden at selected sites of historic interest on Lopez Island. All are hidden with easy public access. Each of the first five sites contains part of the final coordinates for the sixth cache.

James and Amelia Davis moved to Lopez Island in 1869 and homesteaded here. They were the first white couple on the island, and parents to the first white child born on Lopez, James E, in 1871, who built this house in 1913.

The cache is above ground and outside all fences. No digging, opening, or moving of any object is necessary in retrieving this cache. Please be respectful of private property, and the farm fresh eggs, if available, are a delicious bargain.
