Geocache Description:

Flat stoney track all the way to the cache on a dismantled railway line, wet in places so waterproof boots advised. There is a metal gate to climb over.

Car Parking available at N56.19.160/W003.22.247, where you can do "PINK" and "IN the Ochils, before continuing on to this cache. This approach to the cache is very dark in a couple of places so a torch will be required.

The cache is hidden just by the top of the dis-used Glenfarg
railway viaduct on the old Edinburgh to Perth road through
Glenfarg, and because of the steepness of the gorge, the
co-ordinates were difficult to fix, so please use the clues to help you.

This Viaduct was the principal bridge – crossing both road and river where the railway track broke through the Ochil Hills. The line opened in 1890, as part of the North British Railway's new Edinburgh to Perth route via the Forth Bridge.

It closed in the 1960s and has now been partly obliterated by the M90. The cache is a lock/lock box containing the usual swaps.
