Geocache Description:

** I believe the gate is now open, if so this is now a park and grab, albeit 8 km down a dirt road! July 09, 2013

*** After 10 growing seasons since I placed it here, it is much harder to see the view to the NE! You must at least walk to the brow of the hill, and leaf-off season will help! Nov. 25, 2014

Another good hike in Nova Scotia from the Old Annapolis Trail parking lot.

This is a traditional Ammo Can won during an Event Cache! And it was placed for posting during another Event Cache, Woods Wise 2005.

Welcome to Nova Scotia and its unlimited scenic views. And this is another one.
There are two Big Indian Lakes in the Halifax Regional Municipality. What is unique about this view?
It is within a 45-minute trek from downtown Halifax. And the view to the NE is up to 50 km2 of lake and forested rolling hills. And it is almost flawless with the exception of a lone Hunting / Fishing camp. It seems more like it belongs in the Cape Breton Highlands or from 200 years ago.

Welcome to Nova Scotia!

But be prepared, it is a 4 km round trip from the Old Annapolis Hiking Trail parking lot, along a good dirt road.
