Geocache Description:

As adults our participation in youth sports is mostly about taxiing our kids and their friends back and forth to practice. Don’t forget all those Saturday morning games sitting with the other parents cheering your child’s team on to victory or at least to honorable defeat. Age has reduced our role to that of spectator or for some of us lucky ones, coach. In either case, we now spend our game time watching and not playing.
When I was young (50 years ago) I played baseball for the Orioles in Whittier, California. In the picture, I’m the one on the bottom left with the toothy grin and no baseball glove. My favorite moment was when I initiated an outstanding triple play at second and third bases. We didn’t win the championship or even second place but it was one of the very few triple plays I’ve ever seen and I was proud to be a part of it. You’re looking for a simple micro hidden in Fairfield’s “Field of Dreams”. When you log your find please attach either a photo of yourself when you were a kid playing sports and/or write a few words in your log about your playing experience. If you played in the band instead of sports tell us about that. You’ll probably spend more time looking in your attic for that picture than you will in the park looking for this geocache. If a game is going on at the time and too many people are present to safely approach the cache you can always come back later. In the mean time, take a trip down memory lane and recall how much fun it was when you played.
