Geocache Description:

A rather large drive up micro cache located in a local park.

The park this cache is located in is named in honour of Phoebe McCullough (1896-1971). She was born in Australia and came to Canada in 1913, coming to Edmonton in 1936. In 1941 she joined the "Order of The Royal Purple", the woman's auxiliary of the Elk's Club. She was a distinguished member and served as their leader from 51 to 53. She is best remembered for her work on the Deaf Detection and Development Committee which diagnosed and assisted children with hearing loss and helped many local children. There is a fitting memorial to her memory in the park - check it out!
The Published coordinates take you near the middle of the park, this point is one chain south of the cache. The original cache followed a purple theme, however it was muggled and has now been replaced with a large micro - no swag only a small log book.
Would be difficult in winter snow thus have added the second part of the clue as a winter hint.
Please replace the cache as it was found.
