Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Hills and Dales Metropark in Oakwood. This local spot is the site of hauntings and the focus of some local lore. Called Patterson's Tower, Patterson's Castle, Frankenstein's Castle, or Witch's Tower, this is a creepy site to explore.

Some of the stories surrounding this site can be found at OhioTravler.com and some nice pictures can be found at Frankenstein's Castle I'd like to hear other's stories and experiences about this landmark, or even of the nearby "Suicide Hill" sledding hill. Parking is available on the golf course side of the street directly in front of the tower, but the cache is on the opposite side of the road from the golf course. No bushwacking is required, and the Five Rivers Metroparks asks that you always stay on established trails. Permit obtained for geocache location.

*****Update: 8/23/06 This cache has been replaced with a camo painted lock n' lock. I started the cache out with some Podcacher Podcast CD's, some geo-trinkets, a beautiful Geocoin that wants to stay in the Miami Valley, and a Green Jeep TB. Please be stealthy and replace the cache exactly as you found it to prevent it from being muggled again. Happy hunting!
