Geocache Description:

Turn onto 510 E from SR 124. The road will end in a circle, this is where you want to park. <pre>

Okie Pinokie - You will see a small cluster of pillars at the entrance of a gravel road (510E). This site used to be swampy and marshy and there have been at least 8 decaying bodies found there (reported by Mississinewa staff). This site may be an old burial ground of some sort or battlefield, as to the thousands of spirits hiding within the trees. You will drive down this gravel road, and the trees will begin to swarm and intertwine above you. You will then come to a circle. Getting out the car, it is said that if you whistle, someone will begin whistling with you from deep in the forest. It is also said that a noise like a pig squeel and dogs barking can be heard like it is right next to you. And last but NOT least, you will hear screams like a small child is being tortured; supposedly it is a 7-year-old girl named Stephanie. Also, traveling a long a path you will find a tree that has indents that appear to be much like deer antlers; HOWEVER, these are horizontal instead of vertical and have a place for an opposable thumb. Warning: DO NOT GO HERE, UNLESS YOU REALLY WANT TO BE TERRIFIED. (P.S. Do not "Ouija" here for the spirits do not like it.) I would challenge any hard core cachers to do this one at night. If you find this cache and your still intact, sufficient religous implements are in the cache for use on your way out.

Look Closely and you can see a spirit lurking behind the trees (picture #1 taken at the circle by paranormal researchers) Picture #2 taken by greengecko on 1/22/06. "this apparition is the most disturbing"

"ive been to okie pinokie about 5 times so far. each time wasn't as good, nothing really happened. well the other night we went again just because we were really bored. we met up with some kids from kokomo and we were in a group. we whistled, and everytime, a faint whistle would come back. this is the first time it's ever worked. so we went on the trails for a bit and saw a shadow or figure on the other side of the river and put our flashlights on it, nothing was there. so the kokomo kids left while my friends and i stayed. the whistling kept working and we got used to it in a way and weren't as scared. then something so strange happened, we were just having a good time talking and stuff.....then it happened. a very very loud noise from the woods, it was laughing and giggling. we all started saying "the kokomo kids are messing with us" and we figured it was people. then it turned into a horrific scream in all directions. it was so loud and more laughing followed and we all sprinted full speed into the suv and locked the doors. i'm a skeptic but i know we all heard the loud noise and it had to have been the scariest thing i've ever experienced. only go here if u are serious, dont joke around, it was really freaky but also fun."

Go look inside, If you dare

It's all about the adventure....with love
