This is a cache put together by a group of Tiger Cub Scouts in Rockport. Thomas, Thomas, Tony, Tyler and Ben are a group of seven year olds who make up pack 55, den 4 Tiger Cub Scouts. We tried to make it a challenging hunt and hope you think so too.
It is hidden in a town forest area at the top of a hill where a hospital once stood although no physical evidence remains. As you enter the area by passing through a stone gateway, on the left you will see a strange rock pile called Turtle Rock. Some say this was built by the Ancients and holds mystical powers.
This place is now used by the scouts of Rockport to hold their annual Haunted Hayride through these spooky woods. As you pass Turtle Rock you will come to a gate on the left that will lead you to the top of Pool Hill, the highest geographic point in Rockport.The cache is a medium sized rubbermaid container and is located to the east of Pool Hill and is well hidden and will require a bit of bushwacking. The hill and tree cover may affect the quality of your gps signal. Please be patient and keep an eye out for mystical creatures wandering through these spooky woods.
