Located just north of the Port Orange bridge in the intercoastal, the waters can be rough with an outgoing tide or on shore wind. Good landing areas on the east side. Except for the shore, the island is very overgrown, so I stayed near the beach, no bushwacking required. The cache is a gallon cat food container and is about 10-15 paces west of the co-ods. No "muggie" activity unless you count the coven of turkey buzzards that call the north end home. I did this on the spur of the moment, and the waves about beat me to death today, when I got back to the shore, I discovered I still had the cache log & pen in my waterproof bag. I left a gold dollar for the first to find, and some decent goodies, flashlights, etc.
Hope you enjoy the hunt.

The cache has been replaced by myself & Insp.G.I. The cache has been upgraded& contains mostly travel bugs, including the "Hells Fire Pass" bug from Thailand which you must see to believe. If you take hat bug, please make sure it is placed in a SAFE cache. It would be a shame for this one to be "gone missing" as they say above the Artic.
The new co-ords are nearly the same and N 29 09 324, W80 58 953 should put you in finding reach. The cache is protected from high tides and storm surges this time, so you will have to hunt for it. Good luck........
