The theme for this cache is scary and is, as far as I know, the first scary cache in West Berkshire. The actual cache is hidden near Donnington Castle.

The location was chosen as it has its own history. ‘A tale is told by a group of young lads camping amongst the castle walls. They all heard a horrible scream and crossed to the other side of the castle, where they all saw an elderly Royalist soldier with a curly-headed young woman in a headlock, pulling her hair. They couldn't believe their own eyes as she continued to scream for help. Though petrified, one of the boys managed to shout at the cavalier to "leave her alone"; in reply to which the phantom let out one hell of a growl and carried on pulling his victim's hair still more. When the group started forward to intervene, the soldier stood, let out another almighty growl and both figures completely vanished!’ source taken from Berkshires website – www.berkshirehistory.com. Items that are placed in this cache should either be scary or extremely weird! Please log in the reason for your deposit and, if your really brave, why you are extracting an item.
The cache itself is a 3 litre box covered in black tape containing a log book a pen and some ‘Found It’ cards. There is also a ‘First to Find’ card.
Its original content is a bear with the word ‘Madly’ written on its belly. I have put this in there as it was given it to me when me and my family went for a Chinese around the time of Christmas. After our meal one of the workers came up to me and gave the bear. I thought it was a bit strange and so I started to read the label. I found out that ‘Madly’ stands for Mum And Dad Love You. Now either mum and dad were giving me this, or I had another family who were Chinese. It still haunts me to this day and that is why it is going for the cache!
The co-ordinates are not for the cache but for the first part of the clue.
1) Go to the coordinates and look straight at the gates of the castle. How many windows can you see? This is 'W'.
2) N51o 25. (W-5)(W+3)(W-W)
W0010 20.(W/2)(W+2)(W+1)
