Geocache Description:

Red and I where heading for a Pizza feed Event in Lebanon and we decided to stop and take a break.
This is a nice little stroll from the upriver side along the Santiam Wagon Road.
Roughly 3800 feet from the gate and parking, maybe an hour round trip and pretty easy walk.

You will be walking along the old wagon road and past the hydroelectric plant until you come out into a meadow. It used to be a homestead and pasture but now it is part of a wildlife area run by the Oregon State Department of Fish and Game.

There is an old barn, the chimney and foundation of the old homestead. Be very quite on your way in first thing at daylight or right at dark and you just might spot some Elk or Blacktail Wandering the edges.

There are a couple nearby campgrounds, some hiking trails and swimming holes. You just might wade the river in the warmer times but be careful if you choose to do so.

Your looking for an ammo can with the normal items in it.
