A narrow road leads almost all the way to the cache site. Just the last 100 m is in the terrain.
Det går en privat vei nesten helt frem til cachen, bare de siste 100 m går i terreng.
The road is private is not allowed to drive, but you can stay in the area if you keep out of sight of the buildings. There are several places to take a swim in the summer. The nature is nice and it is possible to stay for a day or so.
The cache site overview the only one saltwater locks in Norway. They were built in the early 1900 to make seaway access to Lindås and were in normal use until 1963. Afterwards the maintenance stopped and the place forgotten. The last decade local community have restored the canal and new locks are in place. The easy way to reach the cache area is by boat, but it is also accessible by car, but you have to walk 2,5 km. I recommend you park your car somewhere at N60 44.400 E5 05.898 and walk the rest of the way.
Fra cache området er det utsikt til Lindås slusene er et historisk sted. Slusene ble bygget i starten av forrige århundre for at det skulle være mulig for mindre laste og passagerfartøy å anløpe Lindås. Slusene er de eneste saltvannsslusene i Norge som det har latt seg gjøre å restaurere. Slusene var i drift frem til 1963. Deretter tok forfallet over. Men de siste årene har anlegget blitt utrustet med nye sluseporter. På vei ut til cachen er det steder der man kan bade om sommeren. Men man må parkere på N60 44.400 E5 05.898. Boksen er av plastikk og ca 10 x 12 cm stor. Inneholder loggboken og blyanter og noe småtteri.
