The cache is only a short walk through a cemetary.
This cache is in memory of a wonderful Dad and Grandfather. He was one of the people that made the small town where the cache is located what it is - a wonderful place to live and visit. My dad was a lifelong resident of the area and a surveyor by profession. Although health issues prevented him from tracking down many geocaches, he believed this sport was a great way to get people outdoors and learn about navigation. He was also an avid golfer so in addition to the treasures we put into the cache, we have placed a golfball travel bug. He could knock a ball pretty far, but this travel bug should take his golf ball to new distances!
The cache was started with 7 golf balls, a few golf tees, ball marker, spike cleaner and repair tool, ball marker, golf tee bag, couple of rechargeable batteries, fake cockroach, goofy glasses and squirt rings and "Buzzy" the golf ball travel bug. Go Buzzy!
