Geocache Description:

Location is easily accessible from Highway 58 with an easy return to freeway. Also there is plenty of turnaround room for rv's or cars pulling any kind of trailer. 2/27/20 Downgraded difficulty to 1 Dried out cache New log. Happy Caronacaching.

Once upon a time, there was a bridge that spanned the gap where the Tehachapi Creek flows alongside the railroad tracks. It was a perfectly good bridge and solidly built but alas, the city 'powers that be' decided that Business Highway 58 needed to be realigned in the name of progress. So, a new bridge was built and the old one that could have remained useful in the future as a potential walk/bike pathway was dismantled in the name of progress and safety. The end of the original bridge site is near this cache. New, smaller container placed on 4/4/06. Difficulty factor increased to 2. Log only--no trades. BYO Pen
