London Bridge Creek Cleanup Cache In Trash Out® Event
PA Ladi: Looks like everyone has logged their trashing and all travel bugs are gone from the event so I will archive it. Thanks again to everyone who came and helped clean a lot of trash from a local waterway. We were very successful because of your efforts. Hopefully one day we won't need this type of event.

Community clean up project Saturday June 4,2005 8:30am until 12:30pm. NOTE TIME CHANGE!!!!!
This is an area I looked at for the April CITO event. I passed on it then because there was no place for us to meet for our potluck. Since this area is still in need of clean up I thought I'd propose another event.
This one will be a work only event along London Bridge Creek in Virginia Beach. Coords are for the Moose Lodge on Lynnhaven Parkway near Holland Road.
From London Bridge Creek you could travel along the Intercoastal Waterway south as far as Miami, Fl with out entering ocean waters. You could also travel west from Florida to Texas and from here north to Hudson, NY.
Please check the cache page June 2 or 3 for final details and specifics on where to park.
There is a place to launch canoes or kayaks it you wish to bring your own watercraft. There will be plenty of opportunity for trash pick up for both water and land based crews. Remember to bring water or sports drinks to stay hydrated. Wear old clothes this could be dirty work and you could get wet. I will try to have rubber gloves if anyone wants them but work gloves and "grabbers" are a good idea.
We're currently planning to go to CiCi's Pizza for lunch after the clean up. Coords for CiCi's parking lot are: N 36 49.246 W 076 04.074
Parking and our start point will be at the Moose Lodge on Lynnhaven Parkway. Please park behind the building to not interfere with the lodge members. Look for my Explorer license "PA LADI" or for Wild River Outfitters truck and canoe/kayak trailer. I will be coordinating our efforts with those of Lillie and WRO volunteers.
