SB Riverwalk Cache #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Vertighost: Cache owner (CO) has not responded and, as there's been no cache to find for for an extended period of time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. In general, caches that have been archived due to maintenance issues or lack of cache owner communication are not eligible to be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located beneath one of the many bridges that span the San Antonio River along the Riverwalk. One can reach it without leaving the sidewalk.

With all the restaurants, shops, and bars along the San Antonio Riverwalk, it is a favorite destination for many who visit San Antonio. In addition to the commercial part, the Riverwalk extends south of town into a residential area known as the King Williams District.

This section of the Riverwalk is lined by beautiful gardens and fabulous homes and is often less crowded than the commercial part. It is an ideal place to take a walk or sit to read a book and relax.

The container for this cache is a small, cylindrical plastic jar with a screw-on lid. It is wrapped in black duct tape. It contains only a log book, and you will need to bring a pen or pencil to log your visit.

Please push a few leaves back over the cache once you sign and replace the log book.

--Due to the recent series of DNFs noting a possible homeless person's camp, I'm adding this note--
Please be aware that you do not need to leave the sidwalk to find this cache -- there is no need to climb or root through brush away from the river. You do not need to go around or behind any walls or bridge supports, and will be no more than a few feet from the river. (You'll actually be standing in the lane of pedestrian traffic, so keep an eye out for joggers if you go in the morning.)
