This will be a series of caches highlighting the heritage of the I&M Canal. All caches will be accessible from the trail and access points along the trail
The I&M Canal at this location crosses the Aux Sable creek via an aqueduct. Check out the lock and locktenders house as well.
The canal played an important part in transporting goods and people from Lake Michigan to LaSalle,Illinois.
The cache is a camo'd (Black)plastic container.
1. Geocache is placed on Department managed property with permission.
2. Do not place the following items in the Geocache: Food items,inappropriate,offensive, or hazardous materials.
3. It is the visitors responsibility to orient themselves with policies and rules pertaining to this Department managed site.
