The Ducks will race South to the warm Southern Sunshine stopping at several "checkpoints" along the way. Once they have completed all the checkpoints they will race back to this cache for the finish.
For all you non racing cachers...there will be a log book and a small bag of trading trinkets for you too!!
There are only 2 rules for owners of entries:
1. You may not advance your own duck more than 25 miles from any cache. You may NOT move it to more than one cache.
2. You may NOT hold up or hinder the progress of any of the other ducks in the race.

Once they have reached each checkpoint they will race back to the start/finish cache GCHDDV (MICHIGAN)
March 24, 2004 Race Update: Two of the racers have reached the first checkpoint. SS Beans Rubber Duckie and Clover are neck and neck. Both Racer's have reached the DANNY THE DUCK (OHIO) cache in Ohio.
May 29, 2004 Race Update: Sunshine has reached it's first checkpoint. This closes the gap that SS Beans Rubber Duckie and Clover have in the race. Sunshine has reached the DANNY THE DUCK (OHIO) cache in Ohio.
June 21, 2004 Race Update: Sunset has reached it's first checkpoint. Sunset has reached the DANNY THE DUCK (OHIO) cache in Ohio.
July 4, 2004 Race Update: The DUCK DUCK GOOSE (TEXAS) has been archived therefore it has been deleted as a checkpoint for the race.
July 11, 2004 Race Update: Snowball has reached it's first checkpoint. Snowball has reached the DANNY THE DUCK (OHIO) cache in Ohio. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COORDINATES FOR THIS CACHE HAVE BEEN CHANGED BY THE CACHE OWNER WHO HAS MOVED IT TO A BETTER LOCATION.
August 24, 2004 Race Update: Sky has reached it's first checkpoint. Sky has reached the DANNY THE DUCK (OHIO) cache in Ohio.
August 30, 2004 Race Update: Stub-A-Dub-Dub has reached it's first checkpoint. Stub-a-Dub-Dub has reached the DANNY THE DUCK (OHIO) cache in Ohio.
October 6, 2004 Race Update: Sky has reached it's second checkpoint. Sky is now in the lead being the only racer who has successfully logged 2 checkpoints. Sky has reached the DUCK OUT OF WATER (SOUTH CAROLINA) cache in South Carolina.
December 26, 2004 Race Update: Sky has reached it's third checkpoint. Sky now has a commanding lead being the only racer who has successfully logged more than 2 checkpoints. Sky has reached the UGLY DUCKLING CACHE (NORTH CAROLINA) cache in North Carolina.
February 20, 2005 Race Update: RUBBA DUCKY YOU'RE THE ONE has reached it's first checkpoint. RUBBA DUCKY YOU'RE THE ONE has reached the DANNY THE DUCK (OHIO) cache in Ohio.
February 20, 2006 Race Update: RUBBA DUCKY YOU'RE THE ONE has reached it's second checkpoint exactly 1 year to the day that it reached it's first checkpoint. RUBBA DUCKY YOU'RE THE ONE has reached the DUCK POND (FLORIDA)
