This cache is for all travelers coming to visit Texas....a "welcome cache" for the 2nd largest state that became the 28th state on December 29th,1845. Texas covers more than 268,000 SQ. miles and only Alaska is larger. The state capitol is Austin. The state bird is the Mockingbird. The state tree is the Pecan, and the state flower(which I need to catch one spring)is the Bluebonnet, which I heard are "gorgeous",and of course....... the state slogan is "The Lone Star State"............................
