Geocache Description:

This cache is located on a M4A3 Sherman Tank.


There were two models of this tank, the M4A3(76)W HVSS and the M4A3E8 “Easy Eight”. Both tanks were nearly identical except for how the gun rounds were stored.

Of the 49,234 Shermans produced during World War II, 4542 were of this type, built starting in March 1944.
