Geocache Description:

Located in oshtemo township park behind the township hall park hours are 8am till sunset

Not far from this park, Benjamin Drake. Born 1/10/1787 in Sussex County New York, and arrived here from St. Clare County Michigan in 9/1/1830.

A year later he purchased land on the "Grand Praire", and became the first white settler on the praire.

Today this Osthemo park has several walking trails, a frisbie golf course, nice play grounds, restrooms, and plenty of parking.
