Geocache Description:

Head south from Newman on the Great Northern Highway. Reset odometer as you pass the airport. At 2.4km look for a bush track on the right. Follow this track (or a number of others in the area) until you find your way to the top of Round Hill (the only hill in the area). Miss it & you're as dumb as a box of hammers! Final climb to the summit is rocky & moderately steep. 4WD only.

Once at the summit drive a short distance & then park. You should be able to see the Capricorn Roadhouse below you. Look for a ridge that extends roughly towards the roadhouse (okay, a bit to the right) & follow it through the spinifex (wonderful stuff - hope you've got boots & long trou on). There is a small white-trunked gum tree that is a good landmark (see photo). Continue past the tree to where the ridge starts to dip away. Cache is wedged between two largish rocks & partially covered. The cache is a white cylindrical plastic container (a Herbalife container in fact). It contains a pair of scissors, Maori playing cards, a 101 Dalmatians badge, & a rubber ball.
