Geocache Description:

Flat, rectangular microcache. Room for log only. Please bring your own pencil.

Located near RiverScape MetroPark in Dayton, Ohio, near Deed's Point on the Great Miami River. Accessible by foot or bicycle. Also has accessibility for wheelchairs. A very nice Five Rivers MetroPark with an engraved stone commemorating Colonel Edward Deeds, as well as several plaques tracing the history of flight. Has a great view of the RiverScape fountain that displays on the quarter hour. Limited parking at Deed's Point. Recommend parking near RiverScape and following your GPS to the cache.

Colonel Deeds was an executive at National Cash Register, and along with Charles Kettering, founded the "Barn Gang", a brilliant group of inventors. He later formed the Miami Conservancy District, which was responsible for flood management in the Miami Valley.
